What Baked Goodies Go Best With Your Favorite Coffee

We all know that cake and coffee has been a classic pair, I mean, it's been a tradition.  But do you know the specific cake and some other baked goodies that go best with certain coffee flavors?  For example, your chocolate mousse is best paired with Arabica coffee and a carrot cake matches well with Colombian coffee.  Coffee cakes do match well with most coffees, but you'll appreciate them more (the coffee cake) if you paired them with a light or medium-roast Hawaiian and Nicaraguan coffees.  It's like they're meant to be.

How about brownies?  If you have one, share it with me, with us, and we'll pair it with coffee from Indonesia or Guatemala.  That would be like, heaven.. don't you think?

Your favorite biscotti matches well in any flavor, but the full-flavored biscotti is great with espresso.

You can pair croissants with plain coffee, but why not take a cue from the French?  CafĂ© au lait pairs so much better!

The strong caramel sweetness of Colombian coffee and the chocolate touch in Guatemalan coffee are perfect fit for cinnamon buns.

Scones aren't just for tea, they're also great with coffee!  Fruit scones are great with wine-y coffees from Kenya, Yemen and Haiti.  Citrus scones matches well with Mexican and Ethiopian coffee, maple raisin scones are perfect with Nicaraguan, and you can enjoy unflavored scones with Costa Rican coffee.  Isn't that wonderful?

And finally, the rich, salty-sweet flavor of caramel flan works perfectly well with Indonesian and Guatemalan coffee.
